• Time sprang forward over the weekend. The days are brighter and a bit warmer than last week. I feel my power source strengthen.

  • My partner and I decided to put the dog in doggy daycare on Saturday. We then went for a very spontaneous brunch meal at a local restaurant. I didn’t plan to be seen in public so I went in sweats. The lockdown has lowered my already low standard of how to appear in public. We went to a bakery after brunch to get some Portuguese custard tarts which were very tasty. They remind me of Hong Kong style egg tarts that taste very similar.

  • We watched Oblivion and Coach Carter over the weekend. I really enjoyed both movies. I typically spend more time choosing a movie on Netflix rather than actually committing to watch a film, so this is a huge win for us.

  • Sesame has been OK this week. His baby teeth are now fully gone and I’m sad to say I haven’t collected any. We took out the exercise pen to strategically try to get him to sleep in the living room when he’s back from daycare (and tired). He’s such a curious dog that he looks at us doing human things for 20 minutes before falling asleep (on the ground instead of the bed). The exercise pen also now looks like a baby crib but for dogs.

  • I debated with myself for a long time on whether or not I should cut my hair short. I still haven’t come to a conclusion. The same voice that’d make me think about jumping off a cliff is telling me to just go bald and part of me feels the urge to oblige.

  • 20% read progress on Murakami’s 1Q84. I read before falling asleep and the story has been interesting enough that I still remember the plot.

  • Another episode of New Amsterdam, another episode of Dr. Max Goodwin (yep, that’s his name) going over the board and spending money on a new program that will “revolutionize health care”. (I’m throwing shade but I actually enjoy watching the show.)
