• Earlier this week, I completed vimtutor and Core Vim workshop by Drew Neil. So I’m writing today’s weeknotes in Vim, which is a text editor straight from the terminal. I’m still quite slow at it but I’m enjoying learning the new tool.
    • I need to find a better way to link resources in Vim. I’m sure there is a good way to encapsulate some highlighted words into brackets. How do I move my cursor backwards in words without pressing 0 to start from the beginning?
  • Sesame is feeling much better this week and pretty much back to his normal self. He also seems to be more calm and sometimes is able to sit with us on the couch. Surprisingly he also watches(?) at the TV quite often. I wonder what he is thinking when he watches TV with us. I am also very impressed at Jae’s dedication to Sesame. He’s quite loving and it makes me feel happy to see them get along.

  • I finished the main storyline of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey last night. Aside from the main storyline, the main character is supposed to go off investigating and assassinating members of the Cult of Kosmos, which is kind of the modern day Illuminati. The ending of the main storyline was really underwhelming considering the entire buildup of the game (and arguably a little unrealistic). I don’t have the motivation to finish the rest of the game for that reason. I also spoiled the game when I told my cousin that this one woman NPC seems too nice and is therefore very suspicious, “I bet she’s one of the cult member.” As it turns out my cousin’s face gave her identity away and she was actually the leader of the cult. Anyway, I would still recommend this game.
    • I’ve spent many hours on this game and I’m sad that the storyline has ended for me.
    • I also spent a lot of time after that reading about ancient Greece, which is very fascinating.
  • I had my first consultation with a therapist and I’ll have my first session next week. I’m looking forward to unearthing my psyche and healing myself. Because it’s my first time, I don’t have much to say about this yet, but I hope to gather information about the whole experience and report back.

  • I’m currently reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. I’m digging it so far. It’s a similar concept to Tuesdays with Morrie, which I’ve found to be a warm and thought-provoking read.

  • I’ve been napping the entire weekend. At around 2-3pm I feel extremely tired and just crash on the sofa. I’m not sure how I feel about it but it seems like I definitely needed the extra sleep.

  • My February cut hasn’t been going too well since two weeks ago. I guess I’ll try again in March. There is no urgency for me to do anything drastic yet, but I’d like to sit at a lower weight.
