• Oh man, it’s the last day of January already. What an eventful month it has been.

  • This morning I remembered I had some whole-wheat flour leftover from my bodybuilding prep days where I would make protein pancakes/cookies. Google told me that flour can actually last up to 8 months. And so I put together some butter, flour, an egg, almond milk and some baking soda. I was just really hungry and wanted pancakes. Long story short, I should’ve followed a recipe.

  • I finished watching House. The ending is less dark than I remembered it to be. I guess I was in a darker place in my life the last time I watched it, but this time around, I felt the ending was satisfactory. I still think Wilson, House’s best friend, has poor self-esteem and House is a manipulative jerk. But I mean, it’s a TV show and not real life, so it’s okay. (I’m over how utterly screwed up their relationship is.)

  • Sesame hasn’t been sleeping well both overnight and during the day this entire week and it’s exhausting. Alas, Jae and I did not get much of a break over the weekend. As I’m writing this, we had just put him into his crate for a nap and he barked for quite some time before falling asleep. We are trying to be super quiet so we don’t wake him. I am just a little concerned about his barking since we have neighbours. For the record, I don’t regret teaching him “speak”. Yet.

  • I’ve been walking for 20 minutes a day on the treadmill this past week, which I am proud of. It’s not a lot but it is considering how sedentary my job is. Being home all day is nice in theory, but it’s affecting my negatively mental health. The walking is nice to just get moving. I also haven’t been training for a week now because of the puppy troubles (see above).

  • I’ve decided to do a mini cut for the month of February. Typically, people got some sort of goal but I do not. I’ll be happy just hitting protein and creatine goals, doing my daily cardio and being more mindful of the food I consume for the entire month.

I am not sure if I want to even track food and weight, though maybe I should. I don’t want to place too much pressure on myself, but I think having a goal for the month will be nice. I’ve been feeling very chunky lately from the lack of sleep and eating out (or rather, eating in?). Anyway, I’m looking forward to it and perhaps keep y’all updated.

  • I started watching a show called Superstore and I am enjoying it a lot! It’s exactly how I pictured working at Walmart to be like.

  • I haven’t been keeping up with my online course like I said I would last week. My lead suggested we work on the book/course together as the next development plan so I don’t have to do it on my own time, so that’s the plan for now.
